π² You are about to take part in a simulation activity to help you understand what refugees might experience. During the activity, you'll be part of a group, or βfamilyβ, and each person will take on a particular identity.
β οΈ Two different ethnic communities with different religions have been at odds in your country for some time. The parents of Family B (your family) are from different communities. Mixed families like yours are rejected by both communities. The children are mistrusted and being expelled from schools and universities. Things are getting worse, and your family fears for their lives.
π₯ Suddenly, you hear tanks and gunfire outside. Soldiers approach your house. With no time to pack, you must flee immediately β each family member can only take one item.
